Cheerwine Apple Vinegar BBQ Sauce
• 3 cups of Cheerwine
• 1 1/2 cups ketchup,
• 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
• A couple of cloves of chopped garlic
• 1 teaspoon each of chili powder, ground cumin,
dried oregano and paprika.
• 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
• Dash of Worcestershire sauce
• Season with salt and pepper
• 1 lemon (optional)
• hot sauce (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan
and bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and simmer about forty-five
minutes or until thickened. Allow to cool.
To perk up the flavor, add a little squeeze of fresh lemon juice, hot sauce to taste, and check for salt and pepper.
Use to baste pork or chicken during the last fifteen to twenty minutes of grilling.
Refreshing Watermelon Salad
3 cups chopped watermelon (3/4-inch chunks)
1 cup chopped cucumbers (1/4-inch chunks)
1/2 cup crumbled ATHENOS
TraditionalCrumbled Feta Cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
2 tablespoons KRAFT Balsamic
Combine all ingredients.
NOTE: Pick & Prep can make this easier by
doing a custom blend of the watermelons and
cucumber. You just need to add the cheese,
mint, and dressing!
