Fall Food Favorites

Apples: Nibble them for snacks or breakfast.
Cabbage: Make a red & green cabbage coleslaw.
Oats: Feast on warm oatmeal on a cool morning.
Roast Chicken: Dust off the crockpot, add chicken, broth and herbs, and return home to dinner.
Dried Cranberries: Toss them into a trail mix made with nuts and/or pretzels and/or whole grain breakfast cereal squares.

5 Quick Pumpkin Tips for Fall

** Create a super easy, low calorie pie in your electric blender (see recipe at right).
** Oven-roast chunks of pumpkin with fennel, onion and zucchini and a splash of olive oil and herbs.
** Add canned pumpkin to pancake or waffle batter.
